6Kidsand6Packs started their own grass dispensary..for wheatgrass! Thank you David Cramar, “The Wheatgrass Man” for teaching us how to plant, tend and harvest this life-giving super food. Mr. Cramar is a great resource for wheatgrass. He supplies sweet, healthy, organic grass to Roots (formerly Sprouts) and several Juice It Up locations in Temecula and Murrieta. His website is www.bestwheatgrass.org.
Our 6&6 field trip recently was a great success. We visited his beautiful oasis in Aguanga, CA to learn first hand how he creates sweet, lush, dark green wheatgrass. Mr. Cramar patiently walked us through each step and supplied the three of us with everything necessary to be official Temecula grass farmers.
6&6 has compiled an e-book entitled “How to Grow Wheatgrass.” It will be available (for free) to participants attending our event, “Beautiful From the Inside Out” on April 13, 2013. We will offer it for purchase through our website starting April 14.
Growing the wheatgrass was very simple, but not easy. The best ingredients, “high tech” tools (if you consider a colander and bowl with ill-fitting lid “high tech”) and precise time management is all you need.
Wheatgrass is such a super food! Did you know you can eat the sprouts too? We each tasted them and fell in love! Lindsay had a bowl with almond milk and honey as a treat. Why is wheatgrass so healthy? The bottom line: it grows from seed to mature plant in 10 days. That is amazing growth! The components that make this plant thrive are harvested and immediately juiced. The nutrients, life energy, vitamins and life from the plant fill you with the same life. Eating living, organic natural foods fill your body with what it needs. What does a cracker sitting on the shelf of Costco provide? Nothing!!
If you haven’t tried Mr. Cramar’s product, pop into the Roots Store or Juice It Up and get a 2 ounce shot. You will not regret it! We hope to see you at our workshop in April.
