Cut the crackers
I receive messages everyday asking me how to eat clean, reduce carbs, and get fit. Everyone is searching for that “quick fix” and what I want to express is that there is no quick fix; to lose weight a complete lifestyle change is necessary. Loosing weight quickly might work well for a special event such as a wedding, or reunion however if good habits are not developed with the weight loss the weight will creep back and nine times out of ten it is more weight than you lost for the event, leading to yo-yo dieting.
Reducing carbohydrates in the diet can lead to substantial weight loss. Now let me explain, reducing boxed carbohydrates such as goldfish, crackers (multi-grain or not) wheat thins (or wheat- full) need to be taken out of the diet. You can eat real nature made carbohydrates and reduce weight. We here at 6&6 eat a plethora of sweet potatoes, quinoa, oats, and rice. These are made by Mother Nature and do not have toxic chemicals added to them like the boxed crackers do.
The food market has learned innovative ways to advertise cracker as healthy. The words “healthy” “natural” “whole grain” and “low-fat” may still contain added chemicals. When the toxic load on the body is heavy your metabolism will not run as efficiently as it could. READ LABLES, if there are words in the ingredient list you cannot pronounce or read you should not be ingesting them. The sodium in these boxed carbs is high, leading to hyper tension and bloat.
We are not saying you can never eat crackers again, we are simply suggesting to reduce your consumption of boxed carbohydrates, and increase your consumption of foods made from nature! Our taste buds change every ten days. Add a new carbohydrate into your life and stick with it for ten days. You will be pleasantly surprised how quickly you can adapt to new carbs.
