Fresh Locally Grown ORGANIC Ingridients
When in the Temecula Valley, make sure you stop by E.A.T Extraordinary Artisan Table, located at the northwest corner of Jefferson Ave and Overland, just west of I-15.
As you walk into this special little place, the smell of basil and lavender fills the air; the energy is positive and comforting. The restaurant is filled with mix of eclectic tables and chairs; and an oversized blackboard lists the daily specials, and the local farms and vendors used for all of the meals.
The main dishes of E.A.T., consist of fresh salads, sandwiches, soups, and flatbreads. My sister in law, Krista, ordered a flat-bread, topped with sweet onions and mushrooms, which came with a side salad of organic mixed greens. On the special board this day was, locally raised pork sloppy Joe’s, a fresh summer vegetable sandwiches, plus green salads and soup. There are so many amazing choices this is the type of place you come back to just to try something else on the menu.
The beautiful, brightly colored, assortment of sides changes daily. The day we visited they consisted of: a beautiful kale salad with fresh tomatoes and goat cheese, a quinoa salad with yellow peppers and onions, golden potato salad, green beans, and so many more fresh dishes.
As Six Kids and Six Packs we value nutrition, locally grown foods, and healthy families. We made it a point to have a meeting at E.A.T., not only to support a local eatery, but also to meet other like-minded business owners who value good wholesome food! K & M ordered beautiful salads, full of organic, locally grown, greens. I choose the smoked turkey sandwich, on a chibata roll that was to die for. The sandwich had basil pesto, smoked turkey, and goat cheese.
They offer Organic coffee’s and teas, and even the water was infused with watermelon and lavender!
We did not indulge in the dessert, but let me tell you they all looked amazing. Just a few things on the list were: gluten-free chocolate cookies, homemade scones, a lemon pastry, and a gluten-free “Death By Chocolate” cake. If you enjoy chocolate this is the cake for you, a two layered chocolate cake with a creamy filling topped with chocolate chips.
The prices were extremely reasonable considering; all the ingredients are from local farms. Each meal was right around$10.
This little hole in the wall is eventually going to need room to grow! It’s steady flow of people, and constantly changing menu makes you coming back for more, they even cater!!! We just love the idea of a local eatery, serving local fresh foods and we hope you try it out soon!
