Need a pick-me-up after weeks or strenuous workouts mixed with kids in school, homework, sports schedules and just life? 6Kidsand6packs did!! We treated ourselves to an afternoon of relaxation at Temecula’s premier day spa—South Coast Winery’s Grapeseed Spa. I have personally been there 6 times and it always delivers! After parking, open a gate into Eden amidst a path of greenery, seasonal blooms and the sound of a relaxing water. For the $45 day fee, the receptionist will usher you into the inner sanctuary where each locker has a personal lock, a fluffy chenille robe (or waffle robe during warm weather) and cushiony slippers along with rubber slip on sandals. There are over-sized towels throughout the locker room which also includes an outside salt-water jacuzzi, indoor dry and wet saunas and beautifully decorated shower/bathroom facility. The guest assistant can accommodate you with fresh cucumber water, tea, hair dryers, curling irons, flat irons and hair products. Several years ago the spa offered Bumble and Bumble products, but not anymore..boo!
The pool is large, kept at a comfortable temperature and is salt-water. I love salt water because it doesn’t ruin my color-treated hair. There is an outside jacuzzi along with a walk-up bar/cafe. A waiter is available for drink orders or food items from the restaurant next door. We chatted and laughed while drinking cocktails, enjoying the quiet, and taking in the grapevine filled valley vistas. As women, we juggle dozens of balls every day. You need some peace and tranquility to rebalance your life.
Want a fantastic dinner for date night or a special anniversary? The restaurant, Vineyard Rose, is top notch. We sampled the menu enjoying coconut shrimp, lamb and prime rib. My very favorite red wine is Wild Horse Peak’s Cabernet Savignon. We didn’t have dessert but thoroughly enjoyed the chive butter—a wonderful indulgence.
So we hope you are able to plan a get away by yourself or with friends soon. Make it a priority for r overall health and well-being!
