I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and are ending 2012 with a bang!!!
My husband and I are so blessed the “in-laws” all get along, and come together to celebrate Christmas.
For the past few years we have spent Christmas at my parent’s house, it has the feel of a B&B and my mom loves to entertain and host, Christmas is her holiday. Every year, while having copious amounts of sugar, the talk turns to the idea of renting a cabin, in the woods, to celebrate and have a white Christmas. Growing up in Virginia we had our fair amount of white Christmases and I always wanted my children to experience this as well.
With the stress of the last year, and almost losing my father in September, we decided to make it happen. Life is too short to wait for the exact right time, and have the right amount of money saved, sometimes you just need to act!! So… we packed up and drove to Big Bear Mountain to celebrate.
The week was amazing, all of the kids learned to snowboard, learned to make mom’s snow cream, and we all indulged in a few Ice Queens!!! I was able to unplug and re-charge!!!
Over the past three years I have made matching Christmas shirts to wear on Christmas eve, they started out as a “puffy painted” version and have advanced to having them personally made by XenaTees !
I love this time of year but am ready to get back to work on my business and my health! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
