Wait..what’s that? You don’t have TIME to work out? Ohhhh. Well then just skip it. There are only so many hours in the day right? Here is your wake-up call…Squeeze it in! Seriously, think about everything you do in a day. You don’t have 20-30 minutes to workout? This excuse kills me!! An acquaintance recently complained to me that her butt is getting bigger. I suggested she wake up 20 minutes earlier, workout in the garage, then run the kids to school before starting her busy home business. The excuse? She had to shower and do her hair before taking the kids to school. Are you kidding me? Anyone who knows me, Mary or Lindsay knows we are the queens of the sink shower. We rarely skip workouts…we skip showers! No kidding…I’m serious!
Okay, enough of my rant. The bottom line? You know the bottom line…just get your exercise in on most days. I had 3 children in 3 ½ years and I worked out in my garage 5 days a week. Why? I was motivated. I was serious. Are you? Really ask yourself that question. Until you are really serious about changing your body or becoming stronger or losing weight, you won’t. I had to fit into a bridesmaid dress. That was my motivation. Find yours and just start. If you’re already exercising 5-6 days every week, then great! But think of ways to up your intensity, change your routine and increase your strength!
Our YouTube channel has lots of workouts and exercises to help you. The basic formula I used for my garage workouts with 3 children under the age of 4? Well I would use a minute timer and follow this basic formula:
5 minutes cardio warm up
Jump rope, jogging on street, running in place, jumping jacks or calisthenics
1 minute circuit with 10 exercises – do it twice with 2 minute intense cardio betwee
Walking Lunge (Weighted great too)
Lateral shoulder raise
Cool Down 3 minutes including stretching
I hope this helps! If you have a garage workout routine that works for you, let us know! So skip the long shower and get out and sweat! Enjoy your ponytail…good hair is over rated!
