My second day of this Whole 30 program was not fun! My stomach was a mess and I had “disaster pants” (cute expression by Dave Asprey of Bulletproof Coffee) all morning. Ugh. My body was purging the bread, beer and bad food choices from Day 0. The afternoon was great and I had a ton of energy. I have craved sweets this evening. To be honest, I’ve craved something sweet all day.
The best part of day 2 was at Crossfit this morning. I killed it! I am usually in the top 10 females but today, although I had to do girl push-ups on my knees, I was in top 5. I beat my husband’s time by a whole minute…whoohoo!
Here is the workout…
4 rounds of:
12 kettlebell swings using 35# kb
8 knees to elbow
I did it in 9:31; my hubbie did 11+ Oh I love to beat him in a WOD!
Here’s what I ate today:
coffee with micro spoon of stevia
3 froz strawberries
1 T whey protein powder
1 piece turmeric root
egg/meat quiche with yam and spinach
2T ground turkey with taco seasoning
2 small tomatoes
balsamic vinegar…is this allowed? Hum I better look it up
2 small homemade beef/pork meatballs
1T homemade salsa
cup of earl grey decaf tea
I felt a bit obsessive about food but think that will pass. I had to stop myself a few times from grabbing a tortilla chip that my boys were eating. I also picked up a Goldfish cracker and almost ate it. That is just a habit. I don’t even like those gross orange snacks!
I’m looking forward to a good night’s sleep and not having disaster pants tomorrow. A bonus would be another awesome workout performance. I’m running hills with friends before crossfit so will be eating a small piece of egg/meat quiche between workouts.
